About — Alias Integrator
About
Alias Integrator is the publisher of the Alias ecosystem — sovereign, local, subscription-free applications.
Genesis
Why an ecosystem, and not a single application?
Because the problem was never a single application, but everything it takes to move from one to the next: what gets retyped, what gets lost, what gets searched for twice. Email, long-form writing, document management, bibliography — years spent with the best tools on the market, each excellent on its own, none able to hold the chain together. These applications grew out of one another, out of necessity, first for the creator and publisher's own work. They are offered today because they served first.
The actors behind the Alias ecosystem
Who creates, who sells — two distinct roles, one same digital sovereignty approach.
Publishing
Creator / publisher
Vanessa Bigot Juloux — creator and publisher of the Alias ecosystem.
An anthropologist of how reality is constructed. After a first career spanning a decade in Africa, in senior positions across marketing and tourism — wildlife, event-based, and cultural, in close contact with local communities —, Vanessa Bigot Juloux returned to university: a bachelor's, a master's, and then a doctorate in anthropology. Her work is grounded in intersubjectivity — that by which a group brings a reality into being not through proof, but through shared belief — to shed light on systems of thought and religion, the prerequisites for reading them, and violence in political contexts. She conducted her doctoral research on the ancient Near East as part of a joint PhD program between the École Pratique des Hautes Études (EPHE-PSL) and Andrews University (Michigan), up to her final year of the thesis. For this research, she designed a method for encoding a corpus of several thousand lines in a structured language, for the predictive analysis of behaviors. She has also co-edited, with Brill, two volumes devoted to the study of the ancient Near East through the digital humanities — CyberResearch on the Ancient Near East and Neighboring Regions and The Ancient World Goes Digital —, bringing together more than fifty authors, scholars, and developers with expertise in a range of programming languages, as well as a third volume, forthcoming with Ugarit-Verlag, on violence in the ancient Near East and Late Antiquity.
From teaching to mastery of data. She has also taught the encoding of texts in XML-TEI at the EPHE-PSL, passing on the digital-humanities methods she draws upon in her own research. Her training — programming, XML-TEI, and semantic-web technologies (RDF, triple stores, notably at the Oxford summer school) — now underpins the Knowledge Graph at the heart of her ecosystem.
The birth of the ecosystem. In 2021, illness forced her to interrupt her doctoral path on the eve of the defense: a severe electrohypersensitivity, accompanied by memory loss. It was during the long convalescence that followed that Alias Integrator ecosystem took shape. Experiencing in her own body the effects of a saturated environment, she brought to it a coherent response: local applications, with no subscription, and deterministic AI. No cloud, no cookies. The writing of a speculative-fiction novel — on the alignment of AI in medicine — would finally convince her: lacking a long-form writing tool equal to her project, she built her own, Alias2Octavia — one of the ecosystem's applications, today available in several professional profiles.
An ecosystem born of a refusal. This project extends an older struggle: against the lobbies that, around AI and online software (SaaS), now shape what we take for granted. For no truth ever imposes itself on its own — it is carried, relayed, installed by those who have an interest in making it hold; and a handful of players now achieve this through the concentration of data and the opacity of their models. To this, Alias Integrator ecosystem opposes sovereignty without dependence on any third party: deterministic, local AI, whose context the user keeps and can verify. It is the same gesture, from the ancient manuscript to the algorithm — refusing to let a dominant actor decree what is true without the possibility of checking it.

Commercialization
Commercial partner
Kidogo — the entity that commercializes the Alias ecosystem.
Founded in 2011 and led by Jean-Michel Juloux — father of the ecosystem's creator —, Kidogo is a management-consulting firm that built its expertise alongside Savanna Tours & Safaris, a B2B tourism player active in Africa since 1984, recognized in 1995 as a World Expert by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). Long kept in the background — the partner carried the visibility, Kidogo carried the structure —, it now steps out of that role by diversifying into digital.
Vanessa Bigot Juloux has granted it the license rights for the commercialization and maintenance of the Alias Integrator ecosystem's applications. Jean-Michel Juloux's expertise also contributed to structuring the skeleton of Alias2Avatar's tourism business database.
Communication channels of the Alias ecosystem
Where to find the ecosystem, where to follow its evolution — visibility and transparency.
Visibility
Social networks
SEO is dead — and your personal data sovereignty with it. Social networks are no longer a choice: they have become a necessity to exist online.
Search engines, boosted by AI, push links so far down that nobody reads them. Presence on social networks is no longer a visibility choice — it has become the real communication channel. The Alias ecosystem is present here:
